There are many Bibles out there for many different groups. The ESV Fire Bible is no exception. With the Pentecostal denomination in mind, the Fire Bible seeks to give the reader study resources and highlight areas that may be of particular interest to a Pentecostal individual.
One such resource are the Themefinders symbols. These symbols, 12 in all, draw attention to certain passages and the symbol gives a clue as to what the passage is discussing. For example, a mountain symbol lets the reader know the passage is talking about faith that can move mountains, a term meaning to have great faith. Another symbol is a musical note which indicates a passage on praise.
I found these symbols very helpful, and while I do not come from a Pentecostal background, they did help me when looking for passages with akin themes. The other aids, like concordance and maps were a nice feature and the helps in the front of the Bible were nice too.
I will state that I received the paperback edition and would suggest those wanting to purchase this Bible go the extra cost for a hardback or leather edition. The paperback is decent but I do not think it will hold up over a long period of usage.
